Andrea was an inspirational woman who fought a disease called neurofibromotosis (NF2) for over thirty five years.
Through her determination, personality, and faith, Andrea touched the lives of thousands of people who admired how deftly she navigated the complexity and severity of NF 2 with such grace and optimism.

Peter Cahill, author of Silent Determination, is a Quincy, Massachusetts native and graduate of Bridgewater State College (BA in English and History). He spent over 30 years as Executive Vice President of Operations at Atlantic Data Services, helping grow the company nationally and internationally and take it public on the NASDAQ. Widowed in 2022 after 42 years of marriage to Andrea Pirani Cahill, he has two children and five grandchildren. Peter now splits his time between Estero, Florida and Falmouth, Massachusetts, managing the Andrea Cahill Foundation and enjoying the ocean, golf, and softball.
